The Great SGA Debate for 2009-2010!

On Thursday, March 26th, 2009 the SUNY College at Old Westbury Student Government Association held the first ever SGA debate featuring candidates running for the offices of Treasurer,
Vice President, and President. The debate was moderated by student Bradley Rutty. Many members of the campus community attended to learn more about their candidates, and now so can you.

Voting begins on Monday, March 30th, and runs until Tuesday, March 31st.

Enter Your Classwork to Win a Writing Contest!

In conjunction with the semester theme of Immigration and the Migration of People, the School of Arts & Sciences is sponsoring a Writing Contest. Students are invited to submit any paper related to the theme that was written for a SUNY College at Old Westbury course in the Fall of 2008, or Spring of 2009.

The 2nd Annual 2009 Student Media Arts Celebration Awards are upon us.The MAC Awards will be held Wednesday, May 6th, 2009, at 7 PM at the Campus Center, in the Maguire Theatre. Get Ready Graduates!

The SUNY College at Old Westbury wants to make sure your ready to graduate. The time is now to order your cap and gown. Orders will be taken in the Student Union on Wednesday, April 1st from 11am until 4pm, and on Thursday April 2nd from 1pm until 7pm. Don't miss this because orders can only be made on these two days. The package includes the cap, gown and tassel as well as your choice between a diploma plaque or a photo tassel frame with two tassels for only $24.00, and cash is the only form of payment.
