The American Studies Club Presidential Debate 9-25-2008
The SUNY College at Old Westbury hosted the 2008 Presidential Debate, sponsored by the American Studies Club on Thursday, September 25th, 2008. Republican National Committee representative Grant M. Lally, and Democratic National Committee representative Mark X. Cronin played center stage in the Academic Village supporting, and defending, and educating the audience about our candidates Barack Obama, and John McCain.
In severe economic times, our overseas war effort, and a desire for change, the audience listened intently, and interacted with both representatives. Topics discussed included education, taxes, health care, war, and oil, were just a few of the many topics effecting today’s country, and this years election. Listen the great debate, learn where your candidates stand on the issues, decide for yourself, and don’t forget to vote.
Thanks for listening.
