SUNY College at Old Westbury is making a big change in the way it distributes important information to all students. Starting in the Fall 2007 term, e-mail will become the primary means for the college to communicate standard business information to students. In preparation for this, computer services will be consolidating accounts down to active students currently registered for courses starting at the end of June
Students that are not currently taking classes or are not registered for the Spring 2007 term will have there accounts decommissioned. Computer services encourage students to take the time to save any messages they wish to keep. Students can do this by forwarding them to another account such as gmail, yahoo, etc.
Please note that messages older than 30 days are automatically deleted. Computer services will be doing a one time delete of all student emails on June 29th to ensure that they receive campus information regarding the fall term in a timely manner.
The College realize this may inconvenience some students, but the changes are being made for long term improvements in student services and appreciate your patience and understanding.
Should you have any questions or need help, you can go to the Student Computer Center in D228 Academic Village or the Help Desk in the Library near the reference desk. Simple questions can be directed to 516-876-3098.
