It has been a season to forget for the Los Angeles Lakers losing so many games.
The scandals that have happened this year within the team and the questioning of effort by the players have embarrassed the respected team.
Out of this abysmal season their has been one bright spot, Lakers's Legend Kobe Bryant. This is his last season and just a week ago played his last game for the Hollywood based franchise. It was end for the one they called "Black Mamba" who began his journey at the age of 17.
He ended it in dramatic fashion scoring 60 points which is recorded as the most all time in any players final game. The L.A. crowd was electric with a lot of celebrities and family members in attendance.
"I can't believe how fast 20 years went by," he told the Staples Center crowd after the game. Bryant thanked the Lakers' fans, his teammates and his family.
He recalled how it was his dream to play for the Lakers, his favorite team growing up.
"You can't write something better than this," he said.
Famous players also were in attendance to say their farewells to one of basketballs greatest performers.
"He never cheated us as fans," Lakers icon Magic Johnson said as he addressed fans before the game. "He has played hurt, and we have five championship banners to show for it."
