On Monday, YouTube, the third most popular site in the world was unresponsive for less then an hour, according to reports.
According to a New York Daily News article, YouTube generates more then one billion unique users per month. So, not having access to the site for even the short time of under an hour that it was unresponsive was a massive inconvenience for many.
A YouTube spokeswoman told the New York Times on the site going down, "Some people encountered errors, or a slower than normal experience on YouTube today," she continued, "...We're sorry for any inconvenience this caused."
