How much longer can we trust the United States government spying on us? It's one thing for the NSA to spy on the US citizens and keep the information for themselves, but it’s another thing when the government is giving out info to unknown countries without filtering it.
Ever since the Edward Snowden leaks of the NSA keeping an eye on our emails, texts and phone calls there has been numerous investigations by many journalists around the world to uncover what is really going on in this technology age. As time goes by more and more world leaders have been speaking out their opinions in a hot topic that can’t seem to get off the top headlines.
Documents that have been recently released by Snowden, have contradicted those claims that the NSA has not been sharing raw intelligence information with the Israeli government without filtering the data on American citizens first. The Guardian.
According to the undated memorandum that was agreed on in March of 2009 “in principal” explains all the rules for intelligence sharing to foreign countries is highly contrasting what the Obama administration has been assuring of protecting the privacy of US citizens. The relationship has been described as a “Memorandum Understanding” between the NSA and ISNU. According to the memorandum the NSA has been sending “minimized & unminimized” data. The NSA is not screening any personal info about the Americans. (Washington Post)
The memorandum also states that the Israeli government is using the same procedures to protect the citizen’s data safeguards for Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Canada. You have to wonder if the Israeli government is getting that much information on multiple countries unfiltered personal information, then imagine what the unseen US documents are with are with much larger countries such as China or Russia? What if the Israel government is trading or selling this information that they are obtaining to our enemies?
