In todays world being a journalist can be a honor in so many ways. You have the honor to cover the most important news, but with it comes risk. Sabah al-Bazee was killed in a tragedy in Iraq. Al-Bazee was a freelance writer under Reuters. He was killed by gunmen who attacked a local government building in Tikrit. Tikrit is the hometown of Sadaam Hussein . Sabah Al-Bazee was a very important part of the Thompson Reuters company. He was married with three children, and was a native of Salahuddin just north of Baghdad.
Sabah Al-Bazee was one of twenty employees killed in this tragic event. His death was confirmed by Mahmou Salad his cousin. He suffered sharpnel wounds that later led to his death. There are officials that are trying to get to the bottom of this, and bring justice to this young mans family. Reuters quotes on its official website.

The New York-based media rights group ranked Iraq at the top of its Impunity Index last year, which lists countries where journalists are regularly murdered and governments are unable or unwilling to prosecute their killers."
Iraq is ranked at the top of the list when it comes to journalist being killed which should be payed close attention to. The provincial council in Tikrit was the target of an armed group. There were guys wearing Iraqi forces uniforms, who set off car bombs, explosive belts and grenades to storm in and take hostages. 147 journalist and 57 media workers have been killed in Iraq.According to the Huffington Post he was a very skilled young man. There has to be a way to protect these journalist, better because they are just trying to do there job.
