Did you know that Lebanon doesn't have any censorship laws in their media? It's true, the only restrictions there media faces is the content in which they speak about the President and the other heads of office, it's not illegal just looked down upon.
Lebanon has a well-developed, and very diverse media. It was the first Arab country to permit private television and radio stations that aren't state controlled, however the government has a tendency to control who owns those stations. Most of these stations use their television spots for political advancement which has caused some controversy among other countries in the Middle East as well as the rest of the world.
In 2004, the United States placed Lebanese television station, Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV, on there terrorist watch list due it's hateful content and promotion of violence. The United States, which stands for free speech felt as though this station crosses the line and helps fuel violence among the Middle East. The U.S. watches this station and it's followers closely and will not support that content. Lebanon does face violence and have a high number on politician assassinations due to their public expression of their opinions.
