"Awareness Avenue", with Dr. Deb Kaplan has returned with an all new exciting season on OWWR.
Every Tuesday from 1-2 pm, tune in where you learn how to lead a more meaningful and compelling life, as Dr. Deb and her guests get you on the right path.
On Tuesday, September 23, 2008, Awareness Avenue, hosted by Dr. Deb, was joined by Heather Simonson, sexuality educator, counselor, and consultant. This episode covered sex in which Simonson compared it to driving a car 'we try to take as many precautions as possible to ensure our safety and reduce our risk of accidents'.
Mental illness is something that must not be taken lightly, as discussed on October 7, 2008 on Awareness Avenue. Dr. Deb was joined by Janet Susin, President of the Queens/Nassau County chapter of the National Alliance for Mental Illness, NAMI, (www.nami.org).
